My AIM contacts are still seeing me as online when I sign off and I get their IMs as text messages.

I checked aim.com and wasn't able to find anything. I also downloaded the free AIM app and didn't see any options there either.

I want to be signed out when I go offline on my phone. Is this possible?

In AIM, go to:
My Info >> Preferences >> Sign off >> Immediately

See if that helps.

If you are receiving them as text messages (as opposed to push notifications), you probably linked your phone number to your mobile number. sign in on your computer and delete your number under settings>mobile.

I actually just had this problem a couple of days ago. Since you have an AIM app you need to turn off mobile linking to your cell number. You can do it on the AIM mobile site. In my case though I got a new number a couple months ago and my AIM account was linked to it. One of my friends is how I found out someone else was getting IM's sent to me because they got my old number. Hopefully they had unlimited texting lol.
