Just turn on Auto Update when you set up the machine. Then you won't have to "invest" any time in future updates.

It is. But aside from that, you didn’t answer my question. Let’s say you purchase an “up to date Mac” - are you never going to apply an update in the future? If it happens to me it's not anecdotal
I will but I won't like itIt is. But aside from that, you didn’t answer my question. Let’s say you purchase an “up to date Mac” - are you never going to apply an update in the future?
Of course they certify that the computer has the latest OS when it leaves the factory, they don't install an old OS.Maybe a small thing to you but I dont want to invest and hour doing the upgrade. This may seem irrational but I want them to do it and "certify" when it leaves the factory versus me doing it over the internet
Maybe computers just aren’t for you.I will but I won't like it
That's a stupid thing to say considering I spent 40 years in the computer industry and sold over 1 billion dollars of computers, managed services and computer related services. Any more needless, sarcastic garbage you want to spew?Maybe computers just aren’t for you.
Then all that experience and knowledge should be enough for you to understand that what you want here is nothing but absolutely ridiculous. That's not how the tech world works, deal with it.That's a stupid thing to say considering I spent 40 years in the computer industry and sold over 1 billion dollars of computers, managed services and computer related services. Yeah, some whining on my part, but I always had technologists and computer scientists on my team to take care of my personal computerThen all that experience and knowledge should be enough for you to understand that what you want here is nothing but absolutely ridiculous. Sorry for the brutal honesty.
None of that makes a difference to what you're complaining about. That's not how things will ever work.Yeah, some whining on my part, but I always had technologists and computer scientists on my team to take care of my personal computer
So really you could have been working in ANY industry, and your weird brag response was kinda irrelevant. (And that's being generous and assuming it was actually true)Yeah, some whining on my part, but I always had technologists and computer scientists on my team to take care of my personal computer
Did you individually update every single software and driver of every single computer you sold? That's a stupid thing to say considering I spent 40 years in the computer industry and sold over 1 billion dollars of computers, managed services and computer related services. And how little money can be found in a technical career. So replaceable....a dime a dozen. I used to feel sorry for the tech geeks on my teams. Just shut up and fix my computerIt further goes to show how little subject matter expertise can sometimes be found in sales or management.
Since you're so fabulously wealthy, maybe you can just buy a new Mac a few weeks after each OS update. Then you'll never have to worry about wasting your time doing it yourselfAnd how little money can be found in a technical career. So replaceable....a dime a dozen. Or hire a computer valet. Better yet, start a computer valet service and market it to others.Since you're so fabulously wealthy, maybe you can just buy a new Mac a few weeks after each OS update. Then you'll never have to worry about wasting your time doing it yourself
That'd go really nicely alongside his billion dollars of salesOr hire a computer valet. Better yet, start a computer valet service and market it to others.
On top of being so rational, you're also incredibly humble. And how little money can be found in a technical career. So replaceable....a dime a dozen. I used to feel sorry for the tech geeks on my teams. Just shut up and fix my computer
