How do I get a folder to constantly duplicate itself??? (read below) - thanks!

Here's my deal -- I have dropbox, and want my "permanent folders" folder (which I have on my desktop) to be permanently mirrored to my dropbox folder. I know how to make a folder alias, but that's not quite the same thing .... How can I do this??

Have you looked into symlinks?
