How do I get media into this thing?

Hello,
I've got (legal) DVD rips that I can view in the TV app on my mac. (Files located in ~/Movies/TV/Movies).

Is it possible to get these videos into the TV library on my Vision Pro?

Also, did apple ever figure out how to get mp3s into the music app?

Try file-sharing and see if it works. Enable it on the Mac, and note the name or IP-address it identifies for the server.

Then in Files on the AVP, follow the instructions here:

Connect external servers with Files on Apple Vision Pro

In Files on Apple Vision Pro, view files stored in file servers and other cloud storage providers.

support.apple.com

To me, those instructions are close (if not identical) to the procedure for accessing a file server from an iPad using its Files app.

It might also work to sync the media to iCloud from the Mac, then access it from AVP.

One question I can't answer is what format the files needs to be in to play on AVP.

I connect to my synology nas that way no problem to download to my AVP but it is slow. One on my AVP I just watch them. Didnt try loading into Apple TV

Yeah it seems like it’s not possible to import and sync media into the music and TV apps on 1.0 or 1.1.

I recommend filing feedbacks for this shortcoming. It’s unexpected on a computer designed for media that’s this expensive.
