How do I get music from iPod onto my MacBook?

All my music was on my old Dell computer and an older iPod. Well, the Dell has crashed, so now all my music is on my iPod.

How can I get all my music from my iPod onto my MacBook?

I would recommend using a program like iExplorer to manually extract the files off of your device.

I am in need of some advice. I have roughly 6 ipod devices in our house that has multiple accounts associated with them. I have twin girls (20 now) that I've purchased Ipods through the years for them. I'd like to be able retrieve those songs they purchased to my iMac. Is this possible?
They both now have Iphone's now but didn't sync the old ipods to the accounts.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
