How do I get photos off my iPhone????

I always used to use image capture but now when I connect my iPhone (or iPad mini).... image capture shows 0 pictures on the device!

I see the photos on my iPhone (and iPad) but can't get them onto my computer!

On my PC I have iCloud to auto download pics, and on my Mac, Photos app does it. They're doing that when I'm in wifi at home.
Mine seems to be automatic, no need for image capture or using cable.

Are you using Photos? I notice that Photos sometimes "gets stuck" on wifi and I have to plug my iPhone into my computer to get them to download. I have no idea why that is.

Image Capture still works for me with iOS 9.0.2 on OS X 10.10.5. Which versions do you have?

my phone and mini are both 9.0.2

I was able to use image capture until I upgraded to El Capitan....

I'll try again when I get home....

I just want to come back and update this.... I restarted my iphone and computer and then image capture worked. not sure if it was restarting one or both that fixed it (in hindsight, shoulda restarted one and tried it, then the other if it still didn't work...)

but the important thing is that I'm able to get my photos off my iphone and into the folder I want, easily!
