How do I get the new emoji's on my macbook pro?

Do I have to upgrade my computer to OSX El Captain to be able to get the new emojis? or am I missing something? Also, what are some of your thoughts on OSX El Captain upgrade?

ah okay because i have a rMBP as well my processor is 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5 with 251 flash storage. so I wonder if i'll notice any lag or not.

I've got the 3.1GHz i7 and it seems fine to me. All of the complaints I've seen seem to be around re-sizing or moving windows, which admittedly isn't smooth. I don't care though, because re-sizing and moving windows isn't the main function of my rMBP.

ahh okay. well then i'll be fine because i like my windows at a certain size and they barely ever change lol thank you
