hi guys.

i am helping a friend switch to a mac. right now all his files are stored on an external drive and i would like to transfer .mhtm and .url "bookmarks" or rather import them so, he has them in safari.

first off, i hope we don't have to buy any special app to transfer files.

so maybe you guys have any idea.

thank you.

yeah, i tried that, but the "ie bookmarks" are grayed-out...

anybody has any other idea?

this is how i solved this problem.

i had to copy (drag and drop) the .htm, .url and other funny windows web file extensions that i could find to a thumbdrive.

went over to somebody who has a windows machine and first created a new user. then imported the windows bookmarks onto ie. then exported them using ie.

then i got this .htm file, which i could import to safari.
