How do I increase the volume of a movie?

If I want to increase the volume of a movie to like 4x louder how do I do it?

I don't mean to just turn up my speaker, I want the actual movie on the disk to be louder, not just my speakers.

I have iMovie but that seem to be able to do 1.5x.
