I'm willing to pay $20 and "upgrade" my jailbroken 1.1.2 to the official 1.1.3 with apps. How do I install the update? Do I just do it in itunes the normal way, or DO i have to Downgrade first? Just dont want to break my ipod

You mean paying 20 bucks for shaky icons?
Do you want to rethink that?

    They're jiggly, not shaky

What you should do is first restore the ipod, nothing fancy just plug your iPod into your computer and press the restore button in iTunes and you should be done. First download the update though, and don't install it, then do the restore.

Why would he pay 20 bucks for something he can get for free?

because the free one is illegal. Jailbreaking may not be against the law, but installing the iPhone apps is.

and the jiggly icons are freaking sweet.

okay, then he will get twenty dollars worth of use from the apps he buys today, instead of waiting a month.

I'll answer the question since no one else has.

    open iTunes
-plug the iPod into the computer
-hold both sleep/wake and home button until iPod restarts.
-let go of of the sleep/wake button when you see Apple logo.
-continue to hold home button until iTunes pops up with recovery mode
-click yes, and your iPod will be restored to its factory settings.
