I recently purchased a cheap little camera off of e-bay. When I plug it in to my mac, it says that it is not readable (or something of that sort). I read the manual for the camera and it said that I need to install two drivers that they provided on a CD. One is called AkResData.Bin and the other is Magin.bin. I currently have those files on sitting on my desktop, now where, and how do I install them?

Are you sure those are OS X drivers? Typically *.bin are Windows files.

Did you try to goto the manufacturers website?

no manf. website, like i said, this camera is super cheap, i'm using it for student research. the cd that came with the camera is on a cd-r disc, lol, it's that bad. if i double click the .bin files, they are archived as a .cpgz file, does that mean anything?

.bin -- it's also binary image that can be opened by free StuffIt Expander.

Maybe a card reader can help.

It spares you the trouble with suspicious files.

Does the camera have a card?

Do you have some more info? What's the name of the camera, which version of OS X are you using?
