How do i install Lion on new HDD

I just purchased the Seagate Momentus XT. When I turn on the computer it shows a folder with a question mark
I do not have the disk for Snow Leopard but I did purchase Lion from the App store. Also, I have another macbook that came with Lion installed.
How would I install the OSX onto my macbook

It says that i need the Recovery HD installed
"Note: In order to create an external Lion Recovery using the Lion Recovery Assistant, the Mac must have an existing Recovery HD."

I will still try, hopefully it works.
