how do i install programs on my touch

how do I install programs on my touch that are in just a folder on my desktop?

As far as I know you can't. Download them inside iTunes from the AppStore.

Download them from the App store on iTunes, or jailbreak your touch and use the methods developed by that community.

I have yet to decide on the fate of mine, so I'm not sure of the specifics of installing after jailbreak. I'm also unsure if the App store works with a Jailbroken iPod...

mine is jailbroke and works just fine with itunes I can't find out how do dowload fom my computer though
