how do i jailbreak iphone 3g 2.0?

i have a locked iphone 3g version 2.0.
how can i jailbreak it? i cant wait until the software unlock.
i already have installed the quickpwn tool.
do i need to download any new firmware?
my current firmware is 01.45.00.
some help is appreciated .

what do u mean i dont do 2.0 and do 2.2?
its this terms that you use that im not certain what u mean exactly.
do you mean i should upgrade to 2.2 through i tunes and then jailbreak?

i made some searching and if i understood correctly iread about some aricle which said that i shouldnt upgrade to 2.2 because then i will not be able to software unlock my iphone 3g in the future.
is that true?

iirc, quickpwn will not let you add a potential 3g unlock in the future, but pwnage will.
