How do I keep the bold font in notepad?

When I look at a note, I noticed that it's in a nice bold font but when I scroll down to the end and start to add more stuff to it, the font changes to more thinner font. How can I prevent this?

The font changes for me too sometimes, but I can't pinpoint the exact reason why it changes. I also noticed that the line spacing sometimes changes.

Do you also use Notes on your Mac? I do, and I think this has something to do with it.

This normally happens if the font doesn't match the previous line, or if you have pasted something in which is written in a different size.
