How Do I Know If I Have a Router?

I realize the idiocy of this question but I can't seem to find any answers through Google searches so I look to you all for help.

How do I know if I have a router?

I have a cable/DSL connection (set up by a roommate) and an airport extreme.

I ask this question because I am having trouble getting much download speed with Azureus.

well if the connection doesnt go to another device after the cable modem then no you dont

If you are on a wired or wireless connection from the Airport Extreme, the Airport Extreme is your router.

You could ask the person who set up your internet to see if you have one. Or pretty much just if you have multiple computers getting internet from the same source, then you have a router. 🙂
