So, I have this current setup. I have an Airport Extreme with an Express has an extender. When I go to each of the routers under edit, I can see what is "connected". Is there a way to connect to one over the other? If so, how can that be done? Thanks!

That screen just allows you to use the Airport for DHCP.
The Network Mode under the Wireless tab should be set to Extend a Wireless Network. Can you confirm?
Can you also confirm which generation of Airport Express you are using?

EDIT: Does it matter if they are both different names?
2nd Gen
Is anything connect to the WAN/LAN Port of the Express?
1st. Generation, nothing connected to the WAN/LAN

The Wireless Network Name and Wireless Password should be the same for both the Airport Extreme and Airport Express. Configured under the Wireless Tab.
