I've been trying to make slideshows with iPhoto/iMovie and they look great on my computer but when I burn them to a DVD and play it on a TV, the images are grainy and look terrible. I use a Canon SD630 which has 6 MP at the largest size (2848 x 2136). Is there anything I can do to make the pictures look of higher quality on the television?

DVD video is only 720x480... so you are going to lose a lot of resolution.

iDVD's compression isn't as good as Compressor, but it should be better than going to iMovie first.

Well, could I make the slideshow in iMovie then transfer to iDVD? Because I want to do things that iDVD can't, like transitions and text slides (or can it?).
