I'm trying to pair the newest Watch SE that had 7.5 or whatever beta, to a new iPhone 12 running public 14.4 software.

Of course, it can't. When trying to pair, phone will say "iPhone out of date. This Apple Watch requires a newer version of iOS". I dont want to upgrade the new iPhone to beta.

Is there anything I can do? Can I some how do a super hard boot or flash of the phone? Or is it forever orphaned until the Phone goes to 14.5 beta or 14.5 public?

Curious - what sort of black magic does the Apple store have to restore it? They need to physically open the watch somehow to connect to it? Or I suppose easier explanation is they have internal software that will communicate wirelessly with it

Anyway, might not be an official store around here and they might not be open.....in such case that iPhone goes on 14.5 public, do you think it’ll pair with the 7.5beta watch?

Or does the versioning have to match in narrow lockstep ?

I just went through this *exact* same issue. I sent my Apple Watch in to be reset, then I got an email saying they found "another issue" and it'll be $140 to repair. I got it sent back to me without the repair but the watch wasn't even reset. I am still stuck with the watch on beta 7.5 so the best option would be to wait for 14.5 to release publicly.
