If that's your only beef with SL then why not install QT7 (the one you used to use)? It's on the SL DVD.
QTX needs to go back into the oven for a while. It ain't done yet.

He ment that your tip was the one he should be thanking, indicating that it's smarter to install QT7 instead of uninstalling Snow Leopard because you have problems with QTX.
No issues with QTX here. Mind you, I don't use it all day long, but no issues since SL has been released.

I don't know what it is about QT...maybe it just sucked on Windows (I *only* ever used it for Quicktime files), so I already had a bad opinion of it when I switched to Mac...
I use VLC whenever possible, since it truly is a multi-format player (and a damn good one at that), and I still very rarely use Quicktime (unless the movie is inline on a webpage and requires QT.)
