This doesn't work because you still have something that tracks your entrance into the TOR as I understand it.

Once inside it's all obfuscated, but then again, I wonder how many TOR sites are actually the Feds just tracking the data that flies by.

You may be right, I always thought that IP addresses could not be traced like that but like I said you may be right.

This is a good plan, but I recommend wearing a fake moustache. This plan sounds all fine and good, and it seems like it will work no problem, but then you're in the middle of executing it and bam! You get caught. When it all could have been avoided if you'd used the fake moustache.

The fake moustache works even better if you are female :p

Send it from a public computer at a library or internet cafe using a new email address
from yahoo or somebody. Then it doesn't matter whether its traced or not.

Don't you watch movies? That's how all the spies do it.

It just occurred to me that, at my library, I have to use my access ID to get on. So they know I'm there. I think a lot of hotels are keeping track of who is using their computers as well.

It may not be as easy as what we are thinking after all. If the powers that be think it's necessary to spend the time finding the sender of the email, you probably will be found out.

How 'bout wearing a disguise (to hide your identity from cameras) and then using a computer in a retail store and a new web-based email account? Tracing the message back to the computer won't identify you, even though the store could in theory track all of your keystrokes.

Are you kidding me? You have to break in after hours. It would be stupid to go during business hours.
Naturally. :p

Oh come on. Are you guys this terrible at doing this? (I'm kidding )
On a more serious note, it's not hard to get a fake ID. Of course, I'm not going to go into that here... but usually they ship from Hong Kong. :D
Create a library card from that, and there ya go.
Of course, some level of deception is required. For females, a fake mustache is recommended, while for men, a hat and fake breasts go a long way.

Also funny is how the OP hasn't answered since we asked him why he needed to send the e-mail. :p

:p Actually, I have thought of another way that would probably work just fine, but I'm done contributing to ethically questionable and possibly illegal activities.:)

I understand. :D
You mean, pull a Lisa Nowak?

Captain Nowak, 43, was wearing a trench coat and wig when she was arrested early Monday morning. She told the police she had worn diapers on the journey so that she would not have to stop to use the restroom so she could arrive in time to meet Captain Shipman’s flight at the airport.
The diapers make me a bit worried.

For sending anonymous emails, I suppose the best way would be to go through a bunch of proxies. However, you do have to worry about privacy issues.
Just wanted to contribute a little to the thread. :)

Wow hahaha thanks for all the replies guys, but all I want is a site so I can send an anonymous email, I don't care if it's untraceable or not, and I don't want it to have any delays when sending the message.

All I want to do is play a trick on my friend.

Is there a site I can use for this???

Use the friends computer. That would really through him off

I could, but I just want to send the email to his phone. I don't actually want to send an email to his email. I wanna send the email from a site and send it to my friends phone as a text! I guess I should of mentioned that earlier!

Hmmmm, then why is the title of the thread:
How do I send an UNTRACEABLE email???

I could, but I just want to send the email to his phone. I don't actually want to send an email to his email. I wanna send the email from a site and send it to my friends phone as a text! I guess I should of mentioned that earlier!

What carrier does he have?

All I want to do is play a trick on my friend.

What cell service does he have. You have to send it to (his#)@(Carrier).com like for Verizon it would be (#)@VTEXT.com

To be anonymous i would just use gmail or yahoo or something and set up an email address that is just like 123354643654654(at)gmail(dot)com and then send the message from there. This will cover up who is sending it and not have any of the "delays" that you speak of.

Bro, chances are your friend is not a computer expert. Furthermore if you are sending a message as an SMS (text) then there is no way for someone to trace the computer it was sent from, and if there is they are probably not your friend (judging by your posts you are likely a teenager and have no friends that are capable of figuring out how to trace an SMS).

FURTHERMORE, you are obviously incapable of realizing that Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, MSN, AOL, etc. are ALL anonymous if you simply setup an account that has no names or details given.

You really are making this harder than it has to be.
BTW what is the prank message going to say?

I Don't exactly know yet. But my friend is getting annoying and I just want him to shut up. If you got any prank ideas then please let me know.

And ok, just create a yahoo account and no details! Duhhh Idk how I didn't think of that.

I don't know either:

Couldn't you go to the public library, set up a bogus address, send the email, and be done with it? I know that you are not completely safe, but this would probably be better than doing it from home or something.

Create a new account at any mail site, or use an anonymous/disposable email service.

As long as you aren't threatening to pose any harm to any one, or doing something illegal then no one will bother to trace an email you send.

At the gateway or on the node? If you're combining cypherpunk remailing with onion routing, you wouldn't know where the packets are going or where they started unless you had access to every node along the way.

If you're sending one-time only, one-way communications, you can be untraceable. It's when you need two way communications that things get more complicated.

Anyone else remember anon.penet.fi being compromised?
