How do I set up home automations?

I have an ATV4K and iPhone X. Everything on the same iCloud ID, keychain on, all on the same network.

Phillips hue bridge. I can Siri the lights on and off.

But when I go to the automation tab in the Home app this is what I see:

Yes (long ago actually)

I updated the phone to 11.2.5

Now it shows options. I don't recall reading that exact requirement being needed lol.
