How do I setup a group distribution list for texts?

I don't think you can make a list but you can jus keep adding names when you make a new text. Just keep adding people from your contacts or typing in numbers.

That's basically what I've been doing, but I would have thought in this smart phone world that something as simple as a distribution list would be available.

Anybody have any tricks?
