I preordered a 44mm Stainless Steel Series 4 on the night when preorders went live and i got a Sept 28-Oct2 delivery but if i can get one from a store this coming friday then i rather get it then and cancel the order for the one i placed from the Apple Store,
i am trying to setup an alert on istocknow to email me when one comes up in stock in an apple store near me but its not working for me, Am i not doing something right or is there something wrong on their website?

None of the Apple stores in my area are currently reflecting in-store stock. That is confirmed by going to a product page and checking for the in-store option. So I would say it is setup correctly and their site is working, there is just literally no stock for in-store pickups at this time. Speculate how you will for what that means for stock for this Friday and weekend.

I'm not expecting it to show stock, The problem i am having is setting up an Alert for istocknow to alert me when the apple watch model id like to purchase is available at a nearby apple store for pickup, ive done it in previous years. basically when it sends the alert you go to the apple store website or app and literally buy the watch with the in store pickup option and go pick it up same day but for some reason i can't set up an alert, When i click "notify" on the top right menu to set up an alert it says "Nothing match you current selection, use Filters to refine your search and try again."

You need to login at the top of the page on the right side. It will send you an email with a link and then you click on notify, should be all set from there.

It's only showing U.S. store at the moment, nothing anywhere else in the world, so can't set up a notification. I've emailed the support and asked what's up.

I am logged in but I can’t set up a notification

What time does in store stock usually start to show on iStockNow? Midnight tonight or early morning the day of the 21st?

Most likely not until tomorrow. Saturday you will have your pick of whatever model you want, I believe stock starts showing up around 6am on the day after launch (going off past experiences).

OP I'm having the same issue - can't set up the alert yet. The various things it tells me to check and uncheck leads to an endless loop. My guess is that tonight at midnight, or tomorrow at store opening time (or something like that) we'll be able to set it up.

I set it up, confirmed in my email when they sent it, easy peasy.

Got 4 watches I have alerts set up for from Apple stores of my choosing in my area (6 within about 30 miles here).

istock has never let me down.

I keep getting a message that says:
"You current map doesn't contain any unavailable product!
"Hide if no stock" and "New Arrivals" must be unchecked."

No combination of checking, or unchecking, 'Hide if no stock' and 'New Arrivals' yields success.

So do this:
Click on filters and set your filters.
Do NOT select a band type.
Click on Notify
It should then pop up the stores that are in view on the map and allow you to configure a notification.

I was having trouble setting up alerts until I unselected specific Bands (as mentioned above) and selected 'Retail Only' from the store list

That worked thanks!
