How do I show public holidays in Calendar?

There doesn't seem to be an option to enable public holiday calendar...

You need to download a public holidays calendar to your calendar account. Some are freely available on Apple's iCal site: https://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/calendars/

So once I download them would they show on my ios calendar as well?
