How do I sort home media in itunes?

Media that wasn't purchased through itunes.

How do I put it in folders?
(Albums, Shows, ...)

All mu media just shows up on my TV and I have to scroll through all of it or use search.

How about if you select the items and make a playlist? I have some music playlists and they sync over to my ATV, so I think these would also.

Playlists is the only thing I can think of when it comes to putting media in some sort of folder. When you scroll through are you scrolling via the album, album artist, etc?

Have you looked at say, Plex?
