I put in over 200 contacts onto my iPhone manually (name, phone, address, email, etc) and would like to store these contacts on my PC in case of a needed reset, crash, theft, etc. ie. as a backup. In iTunes, there is an option to "sync contacts from ____ (Yahoo, Windows, or Outlook). I dont have these contacts already stored on my PC or on the internet, only on my iPhone.

    1. If I chose to sync contacts, will this erase all of my contacts from my iPhone?
    2. if it does not, where will they be stored and how can I access them on my computer?
    3. If I change some of the contact info on my iPhone AND computer seperately, what will happen when I sync them?

    Syncing Contacts

You need to have a calendar application on your computer. For a Mac, you can use iCalendar. For a PC, I use Outlook. Assuming you have Outlook with no contacts in it, you can sync your iPhone with Outlook. Contacts will appear in both devices. Changes to one with automatically be applied to the other with the next sync.

In the future, it might be easier with a full keyboard to enter and change contact information on the compute. JMHO

    Hope this help
