How do I sync texts on my iPhone with my MacBook Pro?

If I go into Launchpad and send a text thru my MacBook Pro, it is in a different environment than on my iPhone.

How do I make the same texts show up on either device? Thanks.
 
Matching iCloud account on both and Settings>Messages>Text Message Forwarding on the iPhone. You should see your Mac there.
