How do I synch music via icloud?

I have a folder named 'to iphone' in itunes that used to manually sync. I thought when I added a song to the folder it would automatically be sync'd now that syncing is done via icloud. The song hasn't transferred yet. What am I missing?

Folder or Playlist? Do you have iCloud enabled on your iPhone or are you still syncing to iTunes?

Playlist and I thought it was enabled.

iCloud will only sync contacts, calendars, email over the air, as did MobileMe, which iCloud is replacing. To sync music, it must still be done through iTunes via Wi-Fi or with the USB cable. iTunes in the Cloud allows a user to enable automatic downloads of iTunes Store purchases made with another device or computer and redownloading of previously purchased apps, iBooks, music, and TV shows,
