How do i test for backlight bleeding?

got my 2nd rMBP and amazingly it has a Samsung screen!

did the IR test and nothing.

now trying to do the bleeding test, how does 1 go about doing this?

Why do you need to "test" for this? Do you see light bleeding under the normal circumstances of daily usage? If not, why worry yourself?

Just set the solid black background completely full screen and check under a pitch black environment (or extremely low light condition). If you notice any yellow or white bleeds and non-uniformed black colors than you have backlight bleeding.

Why do you insist on finding a defect on your computer? If you don't notice anything now then why worry about it?

Wanted to revive this thread to ask if these so called bleeds are only white or yellow in color? Thanks.
