So I got a textmessage from apple telling that my iPad has been shipped on last friday, so I go to the apple order status site, but there isn't tracking number anywhere. I remember I somehow tracked my macbook pro when I bought it. Any ideas?

Did you get a confirmation email from Apple when you purchased the iPad?
There should be a "track shipment" button on there somewhere. There was on the confirmation I received.
Either way, Don't hold your breath. I got an email six days go saying my iPad had been shipped. It just left Hong Kong today!
The long ship and delivery times really takes the joy and fun out of the whole process. Instead of fun, I find it simply frustrating to the point where I almost don't care about it anymore
