How do I transfer files from a PC to a Mac?

    I have 3 things here and 1 question:

    1) an iMac running Windows 7 through bootcamp with about 140 GB of important files on the Windows Partition.

    2) an ethernet cord

    3) A Macbook running Snow Leopard with over 140 GB of free space on its hard drive

    THE QUESTION: How do I use the ethernet cord to connect the iMac and the Macbook and then transfer the 140 GB of important files from the iMac's Windows partition to the Macbook's hard drive?

    Note: I already know how to plug in the ethernet cord. :/

    Boot the iMac into Mac OS X and then connect the Ethernet cable and enable File Sharing in System Preferences > Sharing and include the Windows partition in its options. Then on the MacBook you should be able to see the iMac in the Shared section of the Sidebar and thus be able to access the Windows partition.
    This should be simpler than setting up Windows 7 for file sharing, but if the above does not work, you may try one or two of the dozens of guides for sharing files between Windows and Mac OS X via network.
