I’m trying to stop receiving text messages for my voicemail transcriptions. Mostly because most of my voicemails are from telemarkers. Those calls are silent, but I keep getting the text notifications. I’ve toggled off live voicemail. That doesn’t work.

Google AI tells me: "If you are receiving SMS or text messages that transcribe your voicemails, the feature is controlled by your cellular carrier, not directly in the iOS settings. To disable it, you will need to log in to your account online or contact your provider directly to remove the feature."

Not trying to be rude, but these questions are great for things like ChatGPT or Google Gemini. They always help me with this kind of stuff.

I tried figuring it out on my own, Google, and posting here. Took ElPaso’s suggestion to contact my carrier (TMobile). They turned off the feature. But I am still receiving voicemails to texts.

Actually, the text messages don’t come up in my Messages app. But they are shown at the top of my screen after the message is left. So I guess I’ve made some progress. I have live. Voicemail turned off. Silenced unknown callers. Missed calls in voicemails from unknown calls are supposed to be moved to the unknown call list. That isn’t happening. The feature is turned on. I’m doing what I can to stop hearing spam calls and seeing their messages.

True. Google AI is frequently smarter than us (the members of this forum) lol - but don't tell anybody I said that 😂
