How do i view/open .ico files?

    I do notice there are some ICO file which can be view on mac. No idea why. I can view them with preview just like an icns.

    But if you want to convert ico to icns/png so you can use it on mac, try this very useful website.

    Preview should be able to open most (any?) .ico file, and it even preserves transparency - if present - when you save it as a gif or png.
