Put a .doc document onto my iPad that I can read anytime? Its just text and some pictures for my U.S. History study guide.

    Some options:

    a) Email it to yourself
    b) Get Goodreader
    c) Get DocsToGo

    get Air Sharing
    get pages

get any one of many Apps out their.

many will either save/open from the iPads e-mail, sync docs via iTunes, downloand on to the pad vian local network, open/save from e-mail severs/iDisk/dropbox etc etc.

Search around and find the app that has the features you need the most.

    Good choice!

Hopefully you will end up upgrading to more space if you find yourself needing it, I highly recommend it over MobileMe! (that is if you don't need a full email/calendar/etc. client). Enjoy your iPad :)
