My mac mini was on about 80% of the time for 6 years and I just got a new imac last month and it died the same weekend.

Now my mac mini can't boot from disk or get past single user mode login on the Darwin/BSD prompt screen. Not sure what has failed, still trying to figure it out. I was copying files to an external when my computer froze up.

I've had a mac mini running as a home server for years. My first one was a G4 mini, then I upgraded to the intel core, and then about 6 months ago I upgraded to the 2011 mini. They have all run great in that capacity.

The 2010 I think you mean. The 2011 is being released shortly.
