I love these people who chime in and preach their moral beliefs they're just funny

They're hilarious, if a bit annoying after a while with their attempts to cyber-bully others into submission. And no they never check whether I'm a student when I order online. I actually am but never got a single call or email asking to confirm.

Here in Korea, when you order on Apple's online store via education pricing, you need to send in a fax or email of a scan of your student ID...and that seems to be about it. They'll also let students who are on academic leave take advantage of the discount, which worked for me :)

Okay so, I want to get photoshop for my girlfriend and she is a college student. I'm currently on an indefinite leave bc of a project, so I don't have a valid ID anymore. I can obviously register it under her name and use her ID since it's for her, but if I'm paying with my card that has my name on it, do you think they'll think it's sketchy and it'll be trouble?

You'll be fine.

I bought one for my brother the other day, never used his name at any stage and it went through perfectly.

I go to the University of Hong Kong. I ordered an Air on the website and they contacted me for proof of enrollment.

I was just curious.

If it states "Higher Education Parents - Parents purchasing on behalf of their child, who is a student currently attending or accepted into a public or private Higher Education Institution in the United States, are eligible to purchase."

Then will they be checking the ID as well? Can't you just pose as a parent and buy with the discount some how?
