How do you change the background color?

Using notes and reminders and would like to change the background color. Well Example some notes I will like the font and background color one color and other notes the fonts and background color another color.

Can some one here tell me how to change the background color? Sorry if this sounds too basic but I'm trying to figure out how to change the background color using the app notes and the app reminders.

If Apple Notes or Apple Reminders are not capable of doing something like this does Microsoft or Google notes and Reminders do that or other third party apps.

You can't do that with Apple's apps. But I'm pretty sure Microsoft OneNote will do it.
