well, i have recently bought a macbook pro from a dealer and I would really like to know the version of the mbp i have bought. I have seen people talking about mid 2009 etc. How do I know which one I have ?

By entering your serial number here to find specs for your model.

By clicking  > About This Mac > More Info

When you click  > About This Mac, you can click on the version number under the big Mac OS X to toggle the display from version number, to build number, to serial number.
