Hey guys, I tried to do a few pages of searching and I didn't see anything specifically. How do I check which display I have, and what are the significances of each one? Thanks! If this is already been asked (which it prob. has) can you point me to the thread? Thanks!

and if that one doesn't work... try typing in "L053R"

That code will definitely tell you which display you have.

You can see what screen you have by going to system prefs, display, color, calibrated LCD, open profile, number 13 information (from another post)

Differences are not very big but 9C8C has slightly better contrast and blacklevels than 9C89, according to my own perception and measurements done by Notebookcheck.
