Your iMac screen is covered in glass (assuming you have an aluminum model). I'm pretty sure you can just use windex or some other glass cleaner.

Either that, or you can use the small cloth the iMac came with, I found its good for getting out fingerprints and such.

I have tried the cloth, but do you think just normal glass cleaners will work?

Pretty sure. Might want to wait for a few others to chime in and give their opinions.

I did use glass cleaner once on my first iMac, it worked fine.

The cloth does the job... You won't need glass cleaner, you'll just be wasting chemicals...

I find it funny that how to clean glass is a more frequently asked question than how to clean the old flat panel.

I think baby wipes and a hand towel (to dry) work fine, you can clean the entire body of the iMac with them.

For just normal cleaning, at work I use the supplied black cloth.
Otherwise an alcohol wipe, like an isowipe - does the job in removing more stubborn marks. :)
