First of all I do not eat above my keyboard but I was wondering how you keep your keyboard clean? I dust it off every now and then, put it upside down and lightly tap on it but still I have the feeling that over time some stuff might build up under the keys. I do not eat behind my mac but I have dry skin that sometimes is flaky and dandruff. Next to normal dust.

Recently I decided to try and fix an old broken magic keyboard (that came with a 2009 iMac) so looked at a tutorial on how to remove the keys and I was shocked how much build up was underneath while I always kept it clean. Some was really hard to remove. I want to prevent that from happing with my blue magic keyboard since Apple does not sell the keyboards that match the colors of all imacs seperately. Will compressed air be enough if you do not remove the keys? I do not plan on removing the keys ever..

It's not something I want to on a regular basis because that might be to much

The Finger Lakes Region
Microfiber cloth dampened, Mac Book Air off, then run gently over the keys plus using a air spray bottle with those longer straws on them and blow out dust and stuff! Turn Mac back on after about ten minutes to make sure everything is dry!
