That’s what I use to clean my devices. I works well for my watch too. I don’t recommend showering with it and neither does . I almost always have 99% alcohol so I make the first ratio. The cleaner works well for sport and solo loop bands. I run sport loop and braided solo loop bands in my ultrasonic cleaner with some Dawn and then I run them through the washing machine.

I wear glasses, and almost every day have to clean them … which I do by rinsing them under the sink, then using a bit of Dawn between finger and them, then rinsing again, and finally drying with a lens wipe.

I then wipe the watch face with the lens wipe — and also my iPhone.

Before it wore out, my Alpine Loop would need a good scrubbing with soap and a toothbrush every few days. At the same time, when I had the Loop off, I’d rinse the watch itself.

I’m now back to the Sport Band that came with my S4. I’m still wiping the face with the lens wipe, but I’m not finding that the band nor the back need more than a quick wipe with a clean towel — which was the case with my S4, too. Every once in a blue moon, maybe a quick rinse.

If I’ve been out in the garden, I’ll rinse off loose dirt, use a little bit of Dawn between finger and thumb (just like with my glasses), and rinse again.

Very, very, very rarely I’ll get the first signs of contact dermatitis: a bit of redness, maybe a sour smell, maybe a slight itch. If so, an immediate washing with Dawn, with the thinnest schmear of an over-the-counter antibiotic cream (like Neosporin or generic) around my wrist before putting the watch back on.

Pretty low maintenance for me, all in all.

That’s exactly how I clean my glasses daily but I use Kimtech wipes to dry them. In between washes I use a lenses spray and another wipe. I love microfiber for devices but not a fan for my glasses because of how oily my face is. And cleaning at the sink is only practical at home.

I wipe my watch and band down nightly because I don’t want to get dermatitis.

Rarely smudgy.

Will wipe it off with my workout shirt after a workout, particularly the back/sensor side. Shirt, if for some reason get schmutz on it, but that does not happen often.

Once a week, will rinse off the crown side, to rinse off any sweat related gunk that might have accumulated in the nooks and crannies.

Sport loops get tossed in the laundry every two weeks. Get them clean again. Me, the lugs/attachments become tough to slide in after a while due to sweat/salt accumulating on them so those need to be rinsed off on occasion.

Wash with soap under faucet.

Wish I could do that with my iPhone. It might be OK but I shouldn't risk it. I use disinfect wipes for the phone.

Try this

That doesn’t solve the problem of the watch needing to be cleaned. It needs cleaning regardless of being in a case or not.

During the day, I wipe the screen on my shirt if it's getting smudgy. After I work out, I'll usually swap out the band to clean and run the watch under tap water (sometimes I'll spin/press the crown under the water to clean it out), then dry it off with a towel when I dry my hands.

I do notice that my Series 7 seems to build up grime underneath a lot faster than my Series 3 did. No idea why that is.

For the last 4 years with my AW S4, I'd wipe it on my shirt... Maybe use a left over lens wipe after cleaning my glasses once or twice a year.

I used the same band and just never, ever did anything to it besides chase it and didn't care.

Now with my AW Ultra 2, I often use a microfiber cloth I keep handy for phone/laptop/etc. the Ultra does not clean as easily with the titanium ridge, flat screen and sapphire crystal compared to my cellular aluminum S4. but I know this face will be much harder to scratch.

I wonder if I will settle in on one band and stop caring about the Ultra 2 eventually like I did my S4.

Interesting. I have an Ultra 1, but before that I had a Series 5. I found my Ultra to be much easier to clean than my 5 ever was. While I do wash on the shower almost every day (particularly because I work out with it and clean the band I used with soap while in there), I find that for daily smudges the Ultra 1 is much easier to clean than the S5 ever was, just with any cotton shirt I may be wearing it ends up as good as new.

I clean my watch with the same cleaner and microfibre cloth I use for my phone and iPad. Once every week or two. Then I pop it into a UV sanitizer for good measure.

For the band I've generally washed with dish soap and water followed by a trip into the UV sanitizer. However, that was with my stainless steel band. I've actually neglected cleaning my alpine loop so far. I don't know how I'll do that yet. Anyone have recommendations?

After a run, I take out the bands and rinse them with soap and water. The watch itself, I put it under running water, then wipe the back with an alcohol swab.

With sandpaper.

No, I wear it in the shower on occasion, and I use alcohol wipes on occasion. Depending on activity levels and temperatures it's sometimes every day, sometimes once or twice a week
