How do you completely delete messages from iCloud?

Hello, I have a few Apple products that I'm having trouble deleting old text messages from, the most recent being my new iMac. I have text messages synced to the cloud on my phone and watch, and I recently turned messages to iCloud on my iMac and the old messages I deleted off my phone are still appearing on my iMac.

Basically what I'm looking for is to delete a text on my phone, and then it deletes it from my iMac and watch at the same time.

Do you have an older Mac and do you keep it on/active often? I don’t use it anymore but when I had my mid-2011 on my account and still signed in to iMessage it would take a really long time to sync messages, especially if my Mac was sleeping for a while.
