How do you do set up distribution lists?

I have about 10 people I send text messages and emails to, and I would like to know if there is a way to set up some type of distribution list.

EDIT: From what I'm reading, Apple does not have this feature on ios devices.

I don't understand why not? This is a very basic function which many folks would enjoy, and we shouldn't have to buy an App to get it done! I simply cannot understand Apple's thought processes sometimes.

Thanks; That's a work around for email, but how about text messages?

Can't believe Apple is making us use work arounds and third party Apps!

Just set up a group text as if you are sending one and use that text group in the future.

Start a brand new text message and you can add multiple people to the "To" field just like you can in an email. As long as you keep using that thread it will be a group discussion.
