I got my iPhone X 256Gb last Thursday and have updated to iOS 11.2. I think it's stuttering a bit when you scroll in apps (Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, etc.) and sometimes in Safari, occasionally, as it "hangs itself" for a split second. Not the smooth smoothness you would expect with such a new and expensive phone with the hardware it has. Even in animations, such as when I go into a folder and then leave it and it moves the focus to the home screen, it's like the apps on the home screen are sort of shaking and looking a little bit unsharp until they get sharp. Does that happen to you?

Everything else works well, no green line or crackling speakers, the camera seems to work properly even though I was a bit uncertain at the beginning when you have a light source behind it in the picture and it overexposes quite a bit.

What do you think, is it iOS 11 that still needs to be polished for X as well as the apps be optimized, or is it something not working correctly with my phone? How do yours behave, something you recognize from my description? =)

Since 11.2 I've also noticed that when you leave the control center with a swype, a bit of an odd feedback happens with the vibrator in the phone (like a snappy sound I don't think was before 11.2).

Oh, one last thing. I have my face ID on default, and from the beginning I can open the phone with one eye closed. Can you do that? =)

The haptic feedback is normal. Think you can turn it off in Settings. Kinda gives me a thrill--;)

As far as scrolling 11.2/X is great. A good test for me is the App theScore. Previous iPhones/iOS's had stuttering when fast scrolling down the Feed screen. It is now blazing fast and smooth.

No issues on X---:)

Hmm, so why am I having that guite occasional stutter? Strange. How about your face id with one eye closed? =)

Not everyone has good eye sight, some people don't notice the stuttering. There are lots of threads debating the existence of the lag with iOS 11.x

I guess, but I asked as I'm not certain if my phone is as it should or not.

Try a reboot. Can you show a video.

At first you can see the shakiness i'm talking about when leaving the folder and focus on the apps text and folder text.

When it comes to the stuttering you can see it at 20 sec, 22 sec, 25 sec, 31 sec, 36 sec (Facebook/Instagram), 52 sec (Settings), 1.04 (iTunes Store). And this happens quite a bit in both 3rd party apps and Apples own.

I don't have FB, but on Instagram/Settings I don't see any jitter on my iPhone. Twitter has some. I don't really look for it. And, my eyes are not the best. But, the X before and after 11.2 was much better than my 6's I owned.

I see what you are saying though. I couldn't get Vimeo link to get to you video. Am not a member.
