I've done that but for me it seems to also set the HP music volume. Siri appears to be linked to that. Maybe I'm using the wrong wording? What did you say that worked?

Try using , Hey Siri set your volume to xx%. Rather than, set the volume. But I’m just guessing here, I’ve not tried it.

I'm pretty sure there is only one volume level on the HomePod, at least for now.
