I was trying to pair the apple remote with my air 2013 but i found out that apple has stopped including the IR so we can't use it for the presentations. So i am looking for a reliable remote that uses another communication method such as bluetooth. I dont want to be inserting in the usb an IR receiver because i don't want external accesories plugged to my laptop.

So, do you use some kind of bluetooth remote? Thanks!

Down by the river
I use a Logitech Wireless R400 Presenter with a Windows based Laptop for my lectures. (It is perfect, but it's not what you need).
What concerns your question. This is a BT presenter:http://www.kensington.com/us/us/449...bluetooth®-presenter-laser-stylus#.VJvuZ7gCAA
The reviews on the Internet are mixed. Main problems indicated were loss of connection.
If you have an iOS device, you have another option: http://support.apple.com/en-us/ht3325

I use the same remote and M$ Office for Mac with my MBA and it works as expected. It does use a USB dongle, so per your "no external accessories" it's probably not going to suite your needs.

I am going to make the presentation with prezi probably, but i have found an app in the app store that lets you move through the slides of prezi, but the problem is that I am going to have only a network of a university so im not sure if I'm going to be able to use my iphone as a remote.

I think bluetooth ones are not reliable because there are many experiences with loss of connection... nothing desirable while you are presenting!

thank you apple for not thinking about this.

Absolutely true. Bluetooth is unreliable and it can be unpleasent during a presentation/lecture especially if you like to walk to the audience (like I do).

then what do you do? keynote+iphone?

im going to try prezi, its amazing what you can do with it

Where I present/make lectures a PC/Laptop (Windows based) is provided. I bring only my USB stick (I use solely MS Office, in this respect Power Point) and my presenter (Logitech Wireless R400).

Prezi is great. I agree. (Hungarians :))

P.S.: MacBook - MS Office for Mac (Power Point) - Logitech Presenter - VGA Adapter - Projector

Here's another vote for logitech - but for me it's the R800. It works right out of the box.
