How do you make this go away? iPadOS 16 public beta

On certain text fields in some apps, this little guy pops up when using an external keyboard on my iPad running iPadOS 16 public beta (the latest version) and I can’t figure out how to disable it. It actually obstructs the Reply button in one of my apps (the Reddit app). Anyone?

Isn't that just Settings -> General -> Keyboards -> Shortcuts? It's there in iOS 15 too.

If you press and hold the keyboard icon then drag it mid screen it will revert to predictive text and the keyboard will be with the predictive text and the microphone center screen when your cursor is active in a text entry field. You can go back and forth with this as you like.

Thanks. I'll give it a try this afternoon. Not sure how it popped on. Never saw it on iPadOS 15.

That was it. Thanks. Turned it off and it went away. The OS16 beta must have switched it on as I don’t think I ever touched that setting and never saw that little button bar before.

For some reason with the latest update this no longer works for me. Have you noticed the same?

I had to do it again. I just noticed in the last day or so that predictive text was not appearing here and in another forum. I thought it must be the forum itself. Then I realized that keyboard icon was over in the right corner again. I figure it must have been moved back there when I updated my iPP to 16.2. So I dragged it back over to the center of the screen and the predictive text reappeared with the keyboard icon over to the left of the suggested words. This is when using my Magic Keyboard with the ipad. So far working properly.
