I have tried to use both iPhoto and Image Capture to get the Photos/Videos that I take with my iPhone onto my computer. I have run into problems with iPhoto not syncing the videos back onto my iPhone (which I have delete when it downloads them off of the iPhone) and Image Capture just seems like a huge pain to organize my folders. It seems like it should be easy to download a video off the iPhone, edit (or whatever) how I like on my computer, and then sync back onto my iPhone. Anyway, how do you all manage the photos and (especially) videos taken with your iPhone?

Ye I'm pissed. I took like 100 videos this weekend then synced them to iPhoto and deleted them off the camera roll. Then I synced my device and sure enough, no videos. This blows

I just drag the videos off of the phone like you would a flash drive.

According to Apple, you cannot sync movies back to the photo app on the phone. We should all submit that as a bug and hope it gets corrected in 3.1.

uhhhh you deleted them from your phone.

I actually can't roll my eyes hard enough to express how silly your expectations are. The tab in iTunes says sync PHOTOS not Videos. Put them in iTunes if you want them synced to your phone.

That's what I was going to say. This is how ALL videos get synced to the iPhone. It's no different after you've imported them for editing on your computer.

Personally, I hope Apple is working on changing the video integration in iPhoto because right now it's not exactly intuitive.

Sync up your iPhone like normal. They're imported as "iPhoto videos."

Open iMovie. In your Event Library under "Last Import," there is "iPhoto Videos." Drag whatever clips into a new project, then export or share them however you like.

I found this out the hard way, but it's not bad. I do think these clips need to go elsewhere or Apple needs to publicize how to do this better. I only discovered this by messing around while editing another video.

None of the above, this is one way of doing it if you have a PC.

Well, you can copy photos of the iPhone in that way can't you? I'm pretty sure you can, so why not videos?

I do think this is a short coming of the software that hopefully will be rectified in the [near] future.

First thing needed: SEND TO FACEBOOK! I have little interest in posting my videos to the zoo that is YouTube. I've got plenty on Facebook, and I would rather have 10 steps cut out for uploading them. I'm confident that it's a matter of time, but I'm not enamored with Google-based stuff getting the front seat while Facebook (and others) get left behind.

I'm probably in the minority, but I don't use facebook, nor do I have an account, so I tend to disagree with that priority ;)
